For event details <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1JyrStskowamcs4CquwM9Ef0EbW59AYow\/view?usp=drive_link\">CLICK HERE<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A baseline for future tree planting in the Biosphere<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The celebration and blessing aims to highlight the need to boost tree planting over the next decades within and around the Biosphere. Landowners and groups associated with MWSC are to follow up with their own tree planting of approximately 10,000 trees throughout 2025, a number which will set a baseline for future tree planting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile is-vertically-aligned-center\" style=\"grid-template-columns:23% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"630\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/gfoundation.ca\/staging\/7325\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/TGF_Solid_Internet.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2677 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gfoundation.ca\/staging\/7325\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/TGF_Solid_Internet.png 630w, https:\/\/gfoundation.ca\/staging\/7325\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/TGF_Solid_Internet-300x171.png 300w, https:\/\/gfoundation.ca\/staging\/7325\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/TGF_Solid_Internet-600x343.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Interim Chair of <a href=\"https:\/\/gfoundation.ca\/staging\/7325\/news\/unbio-2-2\/\">MWSC<\/a>, Noel St Jean explains that the Miquelon Committee was formed last year with a practical focus to educate and involve landowners in water quality and quantity issues for wetlands within the southern portion of BHB.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:23% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"264\" height=\"78\" src=\"https:\/\/gfoundation.ca\/staging\/7325\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Watershed-Alliance.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1458 size-full\"\/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Catherine Peirce, Executive Director of the Battle River Watershed Alliance (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.battleriverwatershed.ca\/\">BRWA<\/a>) says, \u201cTree planting is vital to the watershed.
